Recipe: Cannabis-Infused Banana Bread

This recipe, called G-Banana Bread because it’s made with two government-inspired strains, is the perfect quick bread to relieve severe pain while promoting a strong body high with an uplifting sense of well being.

G-13 and Agent Orange, two strains names inspired by acts of the U.S. Government, both pack a powerful punch and contain some of the most delicious terpene profiles I have ever come across.

After walking into my kitchen and seeing overly ripe bananas, I was hit with the thought of making banana bread to make use of the rapidly degrading fruit. As a pairing, I decided to go with G-13 and Agent Orange. The bananas provide a great base for the citrus apple and pine of the G-13 plus the citrus orange flavor profiles of the Agent Orange.

Enjoy the G-Banana Bread with a cup of your favorite tea or coffee for a simple breakfast, snack, hiking treat, or munchie before bed. This quick bread is also a wonderful recipe to make as a gift.

Mise en place:

4 bananas
1 egg
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup turbinado sugar
1/3 cup room temperature G-13 Agent Orange cannabutter (infused with 4 grams G-13 and 4 grams Agent Orange)
2 teaspoons almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon chai tea concentrate
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 pinch of sea salt

Directions:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter pan a loaf pan and set aside.

Step 2: In a bowl mash the bananas and add all of the wet ingredients plus the cannabutter. Now stir in the salt and sugar with a wooden spoon.

Step 3: Stir in the flour and baking soda until well combined. Make sure to break apart any lumps.

Step 4: Carefully pour this mixture into the loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes. Your quick bread is fully cooked when a toothpick that is inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Step 5: Pull from the oven when your time is up and cool completely before slicing. Remember, you can always add walnuts to this recipe if you desire. Enjoy!

Dosage:

If G-13 THC content tests around 25 percent, 20 percent of 1,000 mg would be 250 mg. Then you have to also factor in the THC content of the Agent Orange. Sub the number of your THC percentage and do the math to figure out your desired dosage per tablespoon for your method of making cannabutter for one cup. If you want a smaller dose in this recipe, cut the cannabis down to a smaller portion. If you want a larger dose, add the amount you desire.

Strain Suggestions:

I would recommend any strains whose terpenes would compliment the sweet tangy orange rind flavor of the Agent Orange or the sweet candied earthiness of the G-13. Orange Crush, Budda’s Sister and Orange Sherbet are all great choices. Be creative and have fun with it!
