DEA Raids Denver Dispensaries

Federal agents executed search and seizure warrants on several medical marijuana facilities in the Denver area this morning. Department of Justice spokesman Jeffery Dorschner confirmed to CNM that multiple locations are involved, but would not provide a number as to how many may be included in the enforcement actions.

“The Drug Enforcement Administration, Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigations, the Denver Police Department and state and local law enforcement are today executing lawfully obtained search warrants and seizure warrants,” Dorschner said through an emailed statement.

“One important note: Although we cannot at this time discuss the substance of this pending investigation, the operation under way today comports with the Department’s recent guidance regarding marijuana enforcement matters. As this is an on-going investigation, no additional information will be made available.”
