A smoothie with dates is mind-blowingly delicious. They are a great way to pack a lot of nutrition for patients, the perfect balance of cannabis and natural sweetness to start your day.
This smoothie is a real meal. You can add peanut butter or a tablespoon of cocoa to suit your tastes. The last time I made this I put everything in the blender and kept it in the fridge overnight. Just a quick blending in the morning and I had a super awesome medicated breakfast!
2 tablespoons coconut cannaoil
8 pitted dates
1/3 cup whole almonds
2 cups almond milk
1 small frozen banana
½ cup oatmeal
½ cup almond butter
½ teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon maple syrup, optional.
1. Heat the coconut canna oil in a small skillet. Add the dates and the almonds and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
2. Place the remaining ingredients in the blender and add the dates and almonds, making sure to scrape the oil into the blender.
3. Puree till blended and divide between two glasses.
