Strain Review: CannaSutra

Light and floral, the CannaSutra is a strain one can rely on to get through the day. The herb is a cross between Reclining Buddha and Sensi Star, both of which can offer uplifting cerebral highs. What makes the varietal truly incredible is its high concentration of CBD. CBD is a cannabinoid that works in conjunction with THC and the myriad of other cannabinoids present in marijuana. Strains rich in CBD are known for their restorative healing effects rather than a psychoactive buzz and CannaSutra is one of many CBD-rich cannabis varieties available.

The sample we tried, California-grown from Delta9 Labs, tested at 13.78 percent CBD, with 6.73 percent THC. This low concentration of THC means it’s perfect for smoking throughout the day without feeling too “high” to function. In fact, the CannaSutra helps to zero in and focus on tasks and can be great for the army of tokers locked behind computers during the workday.

The hybrid (70 percent indica and 30 percent sativa) grows well and offers large yields. Delta9 Labs says the strain flowers in 10-weeks and performs best when given root and room space allowing it to develop multiple branches.

The CannaSutra is a delightful toke. It smells vegetative and sweet and tastes floral and mild. Its name evokes — ahem — togetherness and connectivity. This enduring strain comes recommended for all those in search of elevated cannabis consciousness.
