40 Under 40: Roger Volodarsky

In 2013, from the basement of Roger Volodarsky’s mother’s home in Brooklyn, Puffco was born with a THC concentrate vaporizer Volodarsky named The Peak. The battery-powered dab rig was the size of a beer bottle and featured a design straight from Silicon Valley.

Since then, Puffco’s Peak vaporizers have transformed both the accessibility and experience of dabbing cannabis concentrates—earning Volodarsky’s company a cult following and bringing more than $100 million in annual sales.

Among the vaporizers’ features he put into the rig include an AI temperature control system that reacts to the speed in which users inhale vapor. It also features Bluetooth, wireless charging, multiple changing glass and an app for users to control the temperature from their mobile phones.

“My mission is to make the highest level of consumption devices to be accessible, practical and effective enough for everyone to use,” Volodarsky said.
