40 Under 40: Bella Thorne

The Disney child star-turned-cannapreneur credits cannabis for completely changing her life.

From Disney child star to cannapreneur and CEO, Bella Thorne has undergone quite a transformation. The actress, director, author, musician and true cannabis enthusiast has never shied away from the fact she started smoking cannabis to help her deal with anxiety and an eating disorder. She says that cannabis “completely changed my life.”

In 2019 Thorne launched Forbidden Flowers, a cannabis brand born out of her passion for the plant. She’s partnered with Glass House Farms, one of the fastest-growing, privately held, vertically integrated cannabis and hemp companies in the US. Green House Farms has one of the most significant indoor grow operations in Southern California.

Thorne wants to break the continuing stigma surrounding the herb—a topic she’s passionate about after her success with weed.
