40 Under 40: Luke Anderson

The co-creator of Cann Social Tonics describes himself as previously canna-curious, but now a convert.

Luke Anderson hails from Venice, CA and is co-creator of Cann Social Tonics, a queer-founded leading THC-infused beverage company. While earning his Bachelor of Science at Stanford University, Anderson served as manager of the campus Jamba Juice and experimented with “off-menu” (but non-psychoactive) drinks.

Anderson later earned an MBA from Harvard and then worked at the Boston consultancy Bain & Company. He also spent two years as a math instructor with the Teach For America program. Anderson only recently developed an affinity for cannabis and brought a novice palate to the development of Cann’s products—designed to be tasty as well as easily digestible, both physically and psychically. He describes himself as previously canna-curious, but now a convert.

“When micro-dose cannabis beverages are more popular and widely available, there’ll be less drunk driving, less domestic violence and less general self-hatred due to the harm done by alcohol to the human brain and body,” Anderson said.
