Strain Review: AK-47
AK-47 is known for its sativa traits but in my garden it blasted off like a true indica similar to an OG Kush or a Bubba Kush.
The name AK-47 comes from the power packed in its dark, resinous, compact buds that bristle with red hairs and glistening trichomes. This one hit wonder gained further urban legend status from its Afghani Kush ancestors that finish flowering in 47 days.
AK-47 has a spicy aroma with a hint of skunk, but the taste is sweet and floral. After burning, the aroma can build to the strength of high grade aroma therapy. This AK-47 was with great care and love. After our first harvest it only lasted on the shelf for two days and sold out the next harvest in less than 24 hours
The AK-47 was very short with a thick stock and the foundation of the plant was amazing. I knew I was in for a treat when it came to the final product. The leaves were thick, dark green and had some of the largest leaves I have ever seen. A great starter crop for the new grower, AK-47 provides a strong reward when it comes to quality but lacks the yield. I think with a longer veg time could greatly increase this beauty’s yield.
The major trait that stands out with the AK-47 its large dense buds. It easily grows in low temperatures and adjusts very well to its environment with minimal transplant shock. In the colder temperatires towards harvest the purple color it puts on makes this one of the sexiest plants I have ever grown.
